Enfield Inland Waterways

Inland Waterways and Royal Canal Amenity Group contacted me and some other local paddlers at short notice this week.they are organising a weekend of fun around the canal in Enfield on the weekend 18th-20thJune. He’s trying to promote the canal and the area to celebrate the reopening of the Royal canal in September.
On Sunday 20th from 2pm onward he is hoping to organise a kayak race or races for seniors and juniors and from Furey’s bar (~4miles east of Enfield) to Enfield harbour, perhaps shorter races for juniors. Prizes and sponsorship are already secured / available. He is not familiar with canoeing but is trying to attract participants to the event. I’ve asked for further details – will forward ASAP.
