Paddlefest 2011!!!

Paddlefest 2011!!! Dates for this years junior Paddlefest have just been released. The event will be held over the weekend of 24/25 September 2011 in Hidden Valley, Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow. This is an annual event which gives enables juniors (10-18yrs) to experience the fun of all of the disciplines found within the sport. It is a family orientated weekend with ample activities for all including sit on top kayaking and an adventure playground. During the 2010 event a record was set for largest skills assessment to be held, with over 35 instructors and 112 candidates on the water at the one time. It is hoped to break the record this year with even bigger numbers. Overall last year saw over 500 people on site and this year it looks like it is getting bigger. There is an upper limit on the volume that can be catered for so, early booking is advisable to avoid disappointment as places are now filling up fast!!
